Helen has provided workplace consultancy and design services to Addleshaw Goddard over the last ten years, with a particular focus on the relocation of the Manchester and Leeds offices and more recently, the early analysis and test-fit exercises for the relocation of the London office.

As a global law firm, Addleshaw Goddard are keen to provide a high end workplace for staff and clients, with a focus on hospitality and providing a personal touch. More recently Addleshaw Goddard have addressed the changes in working practice brought about by the introduction of hybrid working post Covid.

Much of the resistance to remote working was broken down by the lengthy spells of home working during Covid, which in fact proved to deliver performance improvements in many cases for the short term, this however brings its own challenges. Much of the Legal sector have embraced hybrid working models and experienced opportunities for consolidation across their estate, but maintaining a connection to the brand, encouraging collaboration and mentoring trainees requires in person interaction.

Addleshaw Goddard have embraced this message from the top with Partners now leading the way in terms of time in the office and ensuring the organisations culture is retained. The Leeds and Manchester projects involved in excess of 1000 staff and saw a huge shift in attitude to owned space.
